Nigel Walker

Managing Director

Nigel Walker is Managing Director and was the founder of That's Nice LLC in 1995. With more than 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur in creative management and sales & marketing, he harnesses the strategic marketing communications capabilities of That's Nice to help companies launch new products and increase sales growth throughout North America, Europe and Asia.

Nigel's primary role at That's Nice is in taking the new business opportunities with the right prospects for That's Nice through to successful client relationships who gain the most benefit from the agency. He uses his experience to instigate timelines, marketing plans, budgets, and creative development that align with the clients' goals and objectives. He manages some of the key accounts and also supports the other directors and senior staff in their objectives for account management, creative development, and operational stability, as well as managing a staff of more than 30 in the New York office encompassing a wide range of talents and cultural diversity.

Nigel has experience in markets including pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, food and nutrition, health & personal care, building materials, decorative consumer products, entertainment, and information technology. His business and client background also covers Six Sigma in marketing, channel marketing, and supply chain marketing from manufacturer to consumer. He has managed and directed brand repositioning projects for over 100 international companies and handled the marketing communication planning and activities for 30-50 companies each year since 1995.

Prior to launching That's Nice, Nigel held Art Director positions at several marketing and advertising agencies. He managed teams of designers and his work was recognized with many industry awards, as well as serving the strategic goals of a wide range of diverse clients. Nigel designed and launched the first non-Department of Transportation signage system for pedestrians, cyclists and rollerbladers in New York City, which was implemented on a waterfront landscape rejuvenation project in 1998. The system has since been implemented in locations throughout New York's boroughs and has won seven international signage awards.

Nigel has a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design and Philosophy from The London College of Printing and is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA), Institute of Food Technologists, Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers' Association (SOCMA), and Chemical Industries Association (CIA). Nigel is married with a daughter and a son, and lives in Westchester, New York.


Wei Gao

Business Manager

Wei Gao is a Business Manager at That's Nice, with his primary responsibility being the management of key accounts and Account Managers dealing with small and medium-sized accounts. Wei manages the relationship with primary contacts at key accounts, providing a point of contact between stakeholders and the team working on projects at That's Nice.

Wei works with business development and sales teams at That's Nice to initiate project development with clients, and then manages the projects through to successful conclusion. This includes communication of budgets, management of any third-party vendor input, origination of timelines and project trafficking, and any other coordination required by project specifics.

Alongside account management, Wei also manages media and public relations needs for clients. This includes managing budgets and delivering insertion orders correlating to agreed plans, ensuring the trafficking and delivery of advertising art on time, distribution of PR by Newswire and directly to publication editors, and promotion of this PR with appropriate editorial staff.

Wei has many years of experience in marketing prior to joining That's Nice in January 2008. He worked with numerous national and international brands, helping them to achieve marketing, media and advertising objectives. A sampling of these includes Unilever, Western Union, Nestlé Waters North America, Heineken USA, and Citibank.

This experience includes extensive knowledge of the Asian American marketing sector. Utilizing Chinese and Japanese language skills, as well as awareness of Asian cultures, Wei helped Western Union and Citibank to successfully launch marketing and branding campaigns that targeted this growing consumer audience group.

Wei has a bachelor's degree in Communication from Southern Connecticut State University. He is single and lives in New Jersey.

Phillip Neill

European Business Manager

Phill Neill is the European Business Manager for That's Nice Marketing Limited - the UK subsidiary of That's Nice LLC. This location was established in 2009 to harnesses the strategic marketing communications capabilities of That's Nice and bring better customer service to European companies and global clients with European operations or trade show activity.

With more than 15 years experience in marketing for blue chip companies such as IBM and Microsoft, Phill has managed marketing initiatives for major global brands in the UK and throughout Europe. He has also worked as a marketing consultant advising businesses on marketing strategy, planning and internal / external communications geared towards sales growth and other strategic objectives.

Phill's primary role at That's Nice is developing new business opportunities with mutually appropriate prospects for the company. He attends European and U.S. trade shows in the companies major markets and visits companies in the UK and Europe to discuss opportunities relating to the capabilities available through all That's Nice divisions.

When prospects become clients, he performs an account management role where appropriate - using his experience to initiate timelines, develop marketing plans and budgets, and work closely with the U.S. office for creative development that aligns with the client's goals and objectives. Phill also manages a team of five people that comprise the UK business.

Phill has experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, IT, public sector and mid market sectors and has been a member for the Chartered Institute of Marketing since 2003. He also holds a postgraduate Diploma in Marketing. Phill is married with three children and lives in Surrey, United Kingdom.
